Hi Seth! When Is Season 2 of Cosmos Coming?

Hi, Seth MacFarlane! We were just wondering if Season 2 of Cosmos was coming any time soon? Either way, we thought we’d lighten your heavy workload by making you a theme song for that imminent second season. Why not focus on Neil DeGrasse Tyson’s spaceship? It’s a major part of the show, but with all the scientific knowledge being dropped, there doesn’t seem to be enough time for it! We think you’ll like it.

Independence Day 2: Where Is Will Smith?!

Will Smith is nowhere to be found this Independence Day, which means that the aliens are definitely going to win in the next movie. So we thought, what better theme song than a new national anthem for our new overlords, the aliens!

Finally, A Theme Song For The Hit Musical, Hamilton

Everything great has a theme song. So why doesn’t this hit musical filled with lots of songs? We certainly didn’t understand why it was lacking in the theme song department, so we went ahead and made one. So what if we’ve never seen the show or heard a single song from the soundtrack? That just means that we have the freshest eyes and the most original take on this! Listen to us take Hamilton to a whole new level!

The Quest To Retrieve Minhdzuy’s Lost Underwear

We were always planning on entering another song into this year’s second annual Tiny Desk Concert Contest, but we didn’t expect to need to win so badly! Much to our chagrin, Minhdzuy’s underwear were left behind in DC, so now we’re depending on Tiny Desk to fly us back there to get them! The stakes have never been higher for Mudville Comedy, so cross your fingers for us, or it’s gonna be a cold year.

What Does “The Revenant” Even Mean?

The Revenant got nominated for an Oscar and people seem to like it, but we’re not completely sure what “The Revenant” actually means. We think the issue is that there’s no theme song explaining what it is, so we went ahead and made one for use before/during the film. Good work acting in a movie without knowing what it means, Leo!

Slime Time Live Is Back on The Splat!

We grew up with 90s Nickelodeon cartoons, so when we heard that Nickelodeon was launching The Splat, a Boomerang-style 90s nostalgia channel, we were ecstatic! We get to watch old episodes of Hey Arnold! Rugrats! Ahh Real Monsters, and Kablam again! But perhaps even more importantly, this means that Nickelodeon can finally use their untapped reservoir of slime to slime people again! So here’s a brand new theme song we sent to Nickelodeon for The Splat!

A More Accurate Star Trek Beyond Theme Song

People love Star Trek, but they seem to think that it’s all about fun space adventures. Yes, that’s true, but behind the spaceships and aliens, it’s about one simple thing: It’s about a captain and his diary. This is the Captain’s Log.

Also, even though this song is about Captain Kirk, the thumbnail for the video is very clearly Spock because we did live long and prosper hands and he’s the one doing it too.

Happy 2015! Here’s a Look Back

Happy 2015! Here’s a Look Back

Happy New Year! Whoa, it’s been incredible for us. We did all sorts of live shows. Two for Geek & Sundry, two for UCB, one at Second City, and so many more around town. Plus, we’ve got a run at UCB, meaning we’ll have more shows at a neat theater! As for our online stuff, we pushed ourselves to do a new video every week, launching our new series, Rejected Songs.

As a result, we ended up writing 14 brand new songs and improvising even more. We made 12 Christmas songs throughout December. We’re immensely proud of what we’ve done, and we’re excited to keep moving forward next year and bringing you even more new songs and videos.

One thing we’re happy about is how we’ve been able to collaborate with more and more people this year. So many people contributed so much of their time to helping us make our silly songs and we’re forever grateful for them.

Whether you’ve been listening since the very beginning or whether you’re new, thank you so much for taking the time to do so. We love it more than anything else. See you in the new year. 🙂
